Manhasset American Legion Auxiliary Unit 304 has decided to support America’s VetDogs. As many of you know this is an organization located in Smithtown. Their goal is to empower veterans to return to civilian life with dignity and independence by providing service canines to our wounded warriors. The cost for the training of just one dog exceeds $50,000. Some of us have seen firsthand the benefits of these well trained dogs who have been taught to respond to the specific needs of their Veteran.
